Account, settings and sharing
Signing in, your garage on every device, the subscription, the SYS settings, and sharing a battle.
Signing in
Enter your email address and press SEND ME A CODE. We email you a 6-digit code: type it in, and you're signed in. There's no password. In the iPhone, iPad and Android apps a new address makes a new account. The browser version signs in only to an account that already exists.
If the code doesn't come, look in your junk folder, then ask for another. Support has more.
Your garage on every device
Your vehicles belong to your account, so sign in with the same email on each device and they follow you. Each device brings its garage up to date when it opens, a few seconds after you change something, and every half minute while it's on screen. If you change the same vehicle on two devices before either has caught up, both versions are kept: the second appears as NAME [COPY].
Building, programming and practice battles work without a connection, for up to 30 days after the app last reached our servers. The league and everything else played against others need a connection.
SYS: settings, your account and the rules
SYS, at the top of every screen, opens:
- CRT SCANLINES: faint lines over the screen, like an old monitor.
- SOUND: on or off (the same as the SOUND button).
- The screen themes: GREEN, AMBER or WHITE (with the subscription).
- ACCOUNT: the email you're signed in with, whether your garage is up to date, SIGN OUT and DELETE ACCOUNT. Deleting your account can't be undone, and it doesn't cancel a subscription: cancel that in the App Store or Google Play first.
- ABOUT: the versions of the game's engine, rules and language, and a link to the reference.
- KEYS: the keyboard shortcuts.
- RULES: the essential rules, and a link to how a battle works in full.
The subscription
The subscription is bought in the iPhone, iPad or Android app, through the App Store or Google Play, and belongs to your account, so it works wherever you sign in. Support explains the prices, cancelling, restoring it on another device, and what happens if it ends. The start of this guide lists what it includes.
Sharing a battle
Any battle you can watch can be shared, free, from SHARE on the report.
- The clip: a short animated picture of the battle. SAVE THE CLIP saves it, and on a phone POST THE CLIP sends it to any app.
- The link: anyone can watch the battle with it in a browser, with no account and no app. You can share up to 50 battles a day.
Sharing shows the battle, never a program. A shared battle shows neither side's workings, and the clip adds only the radar of the sides that are yours to show.
